A web site containing text and images can either comprise of
simple static pages or it can be database driven, where all the data is stored
in a database and can be easily changed online by you. This would require a login
facility for security purposes.
The advantage of a database driven site over a static one is
that you are always in control of what appears in the site and are able to update
the content as and when you wish. It will cost more to develop in the first place
but is recommended for any site that requires frequent updating or a look-up
facility, e.g names and addresses.
For a static HTML based site, you would supply us with all the
text that you would like to display, any photographs or other images. We would
then design and develop the site for you according to your requirements.
Any updates to the site would entail an additional fee. This
site is perfectly adequate for a variety of purposes ranging from an online 'business
card' to a multipage site. Many businesses begin with this to get a business
presence.
The important question is 'How frequently will the content need
to change?'
